Different couches

I found this cushion couch at yatzer it's made by Christiane Hogner. What a great idea. My boyfriend recently wen to Amsterdam where he saw a sofa made entirely of clothing. He would have taken a photo but it was in a area they wern't alowed photos.
Now here is a patchwork couch much more traditional it was made by squint limited. I've been thinking about couches recently as I am currently trying to re-cover 2 of them.
This couch with DIY instructions at marie claire idees has a mix of embroidery and stitched on material.
A pocket in the couch this seems like a great idea picture is from 101 woonideen.

Photos

Origional
Cartoonizer, Underpainting

I've been learning about different things available over the internet to assist you in making photos look different. For example the above effects were done using be funky this was quite a fun site and there were heeps of differnt effect options available. Be funky is a photo editing site so it took a minute to get into the program and find my way around.

New to Old

Origional

Vintage
This site wanokoto makes photos look vintage very simple to use I just found the file and pressed the button and it was done. I think this has a lot of potenital fo making all photos of myself look better.
Patchwork pattern

Origional

Patchwork
This cook patch work pattern was made using vam. I don't know whether i would every have the patience or time to make a quilt. But this just looks really cool.

Miniature
Origional
Miniature
Tilt shift maker makes photos look like miniature modle. You need to be careful in the photo you select. Photos with lots of buildings in the centre look best.
Framing photos
Origional

1. Postage stamp
2. Canvas panles
3. Poliroid photo
Big huge labs site will add frames to photos. I just used three of the different frame option but there are lots more. Very easy to use. But the frames cut off some of the phot I think it had something to do with the size and layout of the frames as they all show a slightly different portion of the origional image. Although I still like the effect.

Shape Collage
1. Rectangle
2. Heart
3. YO
This was a program I had to download Shape collage I could but all of my photos into it and then create what ever shape I wanted. I could choose text or a few simple shapes.

Smile
The Queen with Smile Morphing
Not to be disrespectful I did try it on myself first but I don't have any front on close up photos of myself.
Face morphing this was heeps of fun I used Cartoon pho to.You can turn yourself or other people into aliens or trolls or have a selection of different facial expressions. It works the best with front on photos.

I really like the look of the Mexican blankets but never found one I liked enough.

So when I saw mexican style fabric at spotlight which had green in the material that matched bedroom feature wall. I got it straight away.

All I did to make the trimming of the blanket was to unravel the edge of the material then plat and tye a knot at the end. I did this thousands and thousands of times and finally it was finished.

Now it lives on my bed end. I like it alot I think it goes with my granny like bed spread.

Change

(source: Ali Par)
I love boxes and always have. I collect boxes at op shops I have too many boxes but they are my little indulgence.

I don't think this will ever change. Each box means alot to me and has a little story behind it. Like what i have stored in it and where I found it and even how much it cost.

They are all precious to me.
I know some of the images are not boxes I believe there is a mary frme, ring, bell and crystal mixed in there. But yes the flower is a little storage box.
I got most of these boxes at op shops or markets.

I was taking the above phot and dusting the shelf in that order. When I took this box of the self I dropped it.
I was very upset :(
But then I though to myself about something I read.

Life Though

(source: Ali Par)
Change is happening every day and every second. Each day we get older, fatter, thinner and learn new things. My box was whole but then I dropped it and now it's in peices. Yes! that is upsetting and dissapointing but it just is.

The box dropping was instant but change is always occuring sometimes instant and sometimes very slowly. Change isn't bad or good it just is.

So I could say by thinking this I don't miss my box so much but I still do. That feeling just is also. The feeling will change eventually.

Cross stiching

(source: Ali Par
Cross stich is very relaxing I have made this cute little bird in approximately 1hr while chatting at a family BBQ. I think I will be making it into a christmas decoration so it will sit around on my desk for a lot longer until I get more into the Christmas spirit only 10months to go.

(source: Ali Par
Another op shop buy the Serenity Prayer a classic saying which will never grow old. The flowers date the peice a little but I like the vintage touch. I haven't decided where it will live yet.

(source: Ali-Par)
This is the start of my first quote inspired by the serenity prayer. I am very supprised with how long this one is taking. I have lost 2 needles and am using a tiny little frame so i have to move it after every letter almost(*Note to self buy cross stich needles). You may never see the end of the quote at the speed this is being completed.

Tips on cross stich:
1. Always use a frame to make the finished product more even.
2. If you are transporting the cross stich to get it completed have a secure container so you don't loose needles
3. Use short peices to reduce tangling the thread about your arms length.

Intro to Me

I have no idea what I will write about in this blog. Sorry I know terriable intro. But it's the truth!
I currently work full time but have no idea of what to do in my working life. I am constently thinking of craft ideas and op shopping.

So welcome to Alipar blog I hope you enjoy what you find here. I plan to write about my craft projects, sewing, decorating my place and possiable a little about books I read. I am reading lots of spritual books at the moment so they may make the cut one day.
P.S Sorry about my spelling in advance. I have always been a little challenged with this and don't like to read over things to many times.
